NetSpeedMonitor FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. NetSpeedMonitor installed successfully. But how can I start it?

NetSpeedMonitor can be started with a right click on the Taskbar. Then select "Toolbars" and "NetSpeedMonitor". After it appears in your Taskbar, right click on its toolbar and select "Settings", to configure it for the first time.

2. NetSpeedMonitor installed successfully. But I can't find any Toolbar!

There are currently some issues with the NetSpeedMonitor installation process and some Virus protection software. If NetSpeedMonitor is not available in the Taskbar's Toolbar menu and you don't want to deactivate your Virus protection during installation, you have to execute the following command:

regsvr32 "C:/Program Files/NetSpeedMonitor/nsm.dll"

3. Why is it not possible to measure internal and external traffic?

Due to the fact, that NetSpeedMonitor does not need additional network drivers installed, it's not possible to differ internal from external traffic. Because of that, there won't be such a "feature".

4. NetSpeedMonitor does not recognize that there is a new version available

No everyone sees the update notification immediately. It takes a few days.
